Celtics vs Heat TV Schedule

NBA action will see the Boston Celtics take on the Miami Heat tonight. Here we look at the match preview and where you can watch the game.

The Boston Celtics will take on the Miami Heat tonight in what promises to be a brilliant contest. The Celtics lead the head-to-head 2-0 this season but the Heat will look to get one up on their fellow challengers.

The Celtics sit at the third spot in the Eastern Conference rankings while the Heat remain 2.5 games behind them in the fourth spot. Both the teams would want to avoid Giannis and his Bucks in the semi-finals and hence the third seed would be most important to both these teams.

The Celtics lost to the Bucks in a game marred by fouls but came back to defeat the Trail Blazers. Miami Heat on the other hand thumped a injury-riddled Nuggets squad but lost to the red-hot Raptors.

Team preview – Boston Celtics

The Celtics came back roaring after their loss to the Bucks in their first league game in the bubble. All-star Jayson Tatum scored 34 points against the Blazers after an off-night against the Bucks. Tatum who had a horrible outing agains the Bucks revived himself with a brilliant performance vs the Blazers. Few more of these and Celtics should end up as the 3rd seed.

All-star Kemba Walker played 22 minutes scoring 14 points against the Blazers. The star would hope to increase his minutes with the playoffs nearby as he recovers from his nagging injuries.

Jaylen Brown scored 30 points against the Blazers and made some crucial plays late in the game to hold off the Blazers. With Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown to support the all-star tandem of Tatum and Kemba, the Celtics look quite potent on the offensive end.

Coach Brad Stevens will hope to see more from key squad players Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter and Brad Wanamaker. The Celtics had a great shooting night against the Blazers as they shot 54.8 percent from the field.

Expected starting line-up: Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, Daniel Theis.

Team preview – Miami Heat

The Miami Heat would look to bounce back after a tough loss to the Raptors. The Heat conceded two turnovers in the last minute of the game leading to their eventual downfall. The squad is stacked with defensive options across rotations with  Iguodala, Crowder and Butler being great perimeter defenders and Kelly Olynyk and Meyers Leonard providing the presence in the paint.

The Heat rely on Butler and Adebayo to do the bulk of the scoring and would expect their all-stars to brush off their off-day against the Raptors.  Dragic scored 25 points off the bench against the Raptors who strangled the Heat with their great defense.

The Heat will bank on their defensive prowess to stop the scoring might of the Celtics though. Butler will need to take charge and defensively they’ll have to ensure that Tatum has another off night.

Expected starting line-up: Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Jae Crowder, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

Expect the Celtics offense to overpower the defense of the Heat and take one more step towards sealing their third seed in the east.
