Lakers opened their season restart with a 103-101 victory over Clippers but fell short to defending champions Toronto Raptors (92-107) in their second game. The Lakers looked off color against Raptors in the second restart game, scoring pretty miserly from the field and not getting their defense to stick together.

Jazz, on the other hand, registered a win over New Orlean Pelicans (106-104) and lost to Thunder (94-110). Jazz, boast an offensive unit with Donovan Mitchell leading the charge and have the defending DPOY in Rudy Gobert to take care of both AD and LeBron

Lakers vs Jazz Preview

Raptors’ Kyle Lowry destroyed Lakers completely in the previous game. Lakers must not allow any Jazz player to do the same tonight. Donovan Mitchell does possess the skill set to do something similar and hence the Lakers will need to be aware of that.

Lakers will want Anthony Davis to bounce back from the previous defeat. The big man shot just 2-of-7 from the field in 35 minutes in the game against Raptors. Lakers talisman LeBron was the best performer in the last match as he scored 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The team wasn’t playing to its potential in the last game a large part of it was because AD was abysmal offensively. A return to form is absolutely necessary for him tonight.

Utah Jazz is also likely to qualify for the playoffs but they have to fight hard to keep a high seed for the playoff games.

Jazz (42-25) is the No. 5 seed team in the West with Thunder (41-25), Rockets (42-25), Nuggets (43-23), and Dallas (40-29) breathing down their neck.

Jordan Clarkson, Mike Conley, and Donovan Mitchell are doing well for Jazz and the side will depend on the trio if they ant to triumph Lakes tonight. They have scored 34 points, 32 points, and 33 points respectively in the previous two seeding games.

Jazz will want to win tonight contest as if they lose, they will give Rockets an opportunity to surpass them and Thunder to equal them on the points table.
