“Nets over Lakers… Kevin Durant over LeBron James”: Stephen A Smith explains why ‘The Slim Reaper’ is the best player in the world over ‘The King’
ESPN analyst Stephen A Smith takes the Nets as favorites over the Lakers in a 7 game series, says Kevin Durant is better than LeBron James
The NBA is full of talented players, who have proven their worth to be a part of the prestigious league. There are some players that are more gifted than the others, and they shine bright as stars. More often than not, people start plotting those stars against each other, instead of appreciating their collective greatness.
A lot of the time we see people comparing LeBron James and Michael Jordan for the GOAT title. Another very common debate has-been who’s the better current player among LeBron James and Kevin Durant. This debate cooled off a bit when KD got his Achilles injury, but now that he’s back and functioning at his high level, the debate is back. Stephen A Smith recently gave his input on the same via his Twitter.
Stephen A Smith picks Kevin Durant over LeBron James as the best player in the world
Kevin Durant, ever since he got to the league has been considered a gifted scorer. He has often been proclaimed as the best scorer in NBA History. However, there used to be questions about his defense. All that changed since he joined the Golden State Warriors. His overall game improved, and he became a better defender and a better overall player.
Recently, a fan asked Stephen A Smith to pick between the Nets and the Lakers in a seven-game series. Smith picked the Nets.

Another fan asked Smith why he called Kevin Durant the best player in the world. Smith explained that KD is already one of the top-3 scorers all-time, and his defense has improved considerably as well.
His defense has improved and he’s one of the top-3 scorers in the History of Basketball. Is that clear enough? https://t.co/61piuzOMP3

Picking the Nets over the newly formed Lakers roster, without even seeing them in action may be a very hasty move. It remains to be seen how the Lakers’ roster gets along on the court. One thing is for sure, we’re in for one exciting season the upcoming year.
