Michael Jordan might have been 53 years old at the time of this video, but Chris Paul managed to rekindle his competitive spirit once again.

If you haven’t been living under a rock, you might know a little something about MJ. You know, the man who’s considered the gold standard for athletes not only in his sport, but all of them.
It’s safe to say that the Chicago Bulls were perhaps the single greatest sporting draw on the planet during the 90s. There were teams that had dominated and won more (Boston Celtics from the 60s).
There was Wilt Chamberlain, a man who’d dominated the league for decades and put up incredible stats. The Showtime Lakers played possibly the prettiest basketball this league has ever seen.
And yet, there was a mystical air that only Michael Jordan breathed in. That height of athletic achievement, where invoking that player’s name is tantamount to invoking the very sport he plays – that’s a pantheon that perhaps a handful of athletes have ever been at.
It shouldn’t surprise you at all that Jordan might also be one of the most competitive men alive. If you needed any proof that he still maintains that competitive edge even today, this tale should do it.
Michael Jordan swished all his shots after Chris Paul threw him a unique challenge
It is custom for NBA players to host camps between Summer League and training camp. Chris Paul is among those who hold a host of camps and invitational events for young hoopers all the time.
Michael Jordan once hopped by at one such event by his Jordan Brand ambassador. CP3 took this opportunity to throw a challenge to his idol – finish a shooting drill without missing 3 shots.
Now, you’d expect most professionals to finish such a drill without breaking a sweat. Hitting open 3-pointers in practice isn’t something really special in the world of pro ball.

What you’ve got to remember, however, is the fact that Jordan was 53 years old at the time of this video. Perhaps he shoots around every once in a while in his own backyard. But for him to come up with all chambers full at short notice is truly something to behold.
It’s a testament to his muscle memory and how much time he put in during his prime to make his jump shot so great. He even swishes a shot with CP3 shielding his eyes from the rim.
