"No, Bronny James Can't Beat Me": The Real Reason Why the Son of LeBron James is Desperate to Make it to the NBA

Bronny James is on his way to the NBA, whether certain fans may like it or not. However, at the very least, it won’t be happening until the 2024 NBA Draft. But, despite it being 2 years away from now, 38-year-old LeBron James still insists he is going to play with his son in the NBA. While speaking on the topic though, during his time on the Barbershop podcast, the topic of his motivation to enter the NBA came up. And as you probably already expected, it is beyond a wild one.

There is a lot to uncover here. So, without any further ado, let’s dive right into this tasty little story, shall we?

Why does Bronny James want to get into the NBA?

It is easy to assume that Bronny James only wants to make the NBA because that is all he has ever known. After all, your father being arguably the greatest player to ever lace ‘em up is bound to have an effect on you. However, there is more to it than this. And it isn’t just purely because he wants to make a name for himself. Check out the clip from LeBron James’s appearance on the Barbershop podcast below to find out what is going on here.

“No, he (Bronny James) can’t beat me. Not too long ago, I asked him ‘what do you want to do with this? Like you want to get to the pros?’. ‘Yeah’ (Bronny James said). (I asked him) ‘why?’ He said, ‘because I want to make a name for myself.’ I said ‘let’s get it’.

By the way, he changed his name to Bronny. I didn’t… LeBron James Jr., I made him a junior, but he Bronny (James)!”

In case you’re a little confused by that quote, it reveals one vital thing about Bronny James. He is grateful for everything his father has done for him. But the biggest reason he wants to make a name for himself is because he doesn’t want to be known as a junior of any kind. He is his own man and one that could beat anyone he is up against. Even if that is his own father. To have that as motivation is far, far better than anything money can give you.

The apple does not fall far from LeBron James

Bronny James may be ready to punch it on a parent with no regard for human life, but apparently, so is LeBron James. Don’t believe us? Just look at this YouTube short containing a clip from yet another episode of The Barbershop.

If this doesn’t convince you that the James family is always on demon time, we don’t think anything on the face of the earth ever can.
