“No More Popeye’s”: Jayson Tatum Switched To a Diet For the First Time Since Celtics Lost the 2022 NBA Finals to Stephen Curry and Co
The 2021-2022 NBA Finals saw the Boston Celtics take on the Golden State Warriors. A matchup where the Celtics heavily relied on their star forward, Jayson Tatum.
Unfortunately for Boston, the Dubs came out on top, led by the likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green. The loss was a hard pill to swallow for the franchise, fans, and players alike.
Tatum himself made a vow to become better and started taking measures to give him an edge. This includes giving up fried food like his favorite, Popeyes Chicken.
Jayson Tatum has given up Popeyes in order to give himself an advantage in his crusade to return to the Finals
Jayson Tatum came so close to making history last year when he took the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals. Sadly, they fell short, but not without putting up a fight.
Defeat hit hard, and Tatum’s way of dealing with it was to focus on getting better. In a recent interview, he revealed that he is doing everything to give himself an edge, including going on a diet. The result of this has seen him give up on eating Popeyes, his favorite fast food brand.
As things stand, it seems to be working out. The Celtics are leading the league in wins, and the Cs look set to make another run to the NBA Finals.

It is safe to say that Boston and Jayson Tatum have bounced back well from their Finals defeat. The team has a 24-10 record and is not only the best team in the East but the best team in the NBA by far.
