The Clippers have to make a comeback in the second game after going down in the first against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Los Angeles Clippers are getting ready to face the Dallas Mavericks in the second game as Kawhi Leonard and company have some scores to settle. The Mavs were dominant in Game 1 in their 113-103 win at the Staples Center as Luka Doncic dropped a marvellous triple double.

A lot of people were skeptical regarding the ways that Tyron Lue and his men defended Luka and allowed him to take shots. At times it was Ivica Zubac and sometimes it was even Patrick Beverley. Luka piled up 31 points along with 11 assists as he helped the likes of Dorian Finney Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. to find great looks to score threes.
Luka has shown that he has the capability to carry a team on his shoulders, especially offensively. Just like he did against Clippers Nation and in that process, the youngster often displays the raw form of aggression. During the first quarter when the Slovenian came up with a one-on-one layup bossing 6’1 guard Pat Beverley, he celebrated the shot by calling him out. Luka said, “Too F**** SMALL”
While Beverley was soon taken off and head coach Lue tried different personnel to contain Luka but none of them were successful. His hunger and dedication was clear from the first quarter and hence the Clippers finished the match trailing in every quarter of the game.
“No one is afraid of them!”: Kendrick Perkins calls out the LA Clippers ahead of Game 2 vs Mavericks
Speaking about the first game where the Clippers lost, NBA analysts Stephen A Smith and Kendrick Perkins criticised the likes of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for not taking up more responsibility in guarding Luka.
“Paul George can lock you down, we have seen him do it. Kawhi Leonard can lock you down but against Luka Doncic they were just giving it to him. We all know what Dallas is without him. Why would you not prioritize stopping him, brother? I am sorry but if the Clippers don’t win Game 2 they are losing this series.”
Even Perkins had similar thoughts about Clippers Nation as he felt that the likes of Kawhi and PG13 did not impose them enough on Game 1.
“No one is afraid of them! … Everybody was talking about roughriders last season and how they just be bulling people? Nobody’s scared of that. Nobody believes that anymore.”
The Clippers better be careful in this series because from the looks of it Luka and the Mavericks want all that smoke! Real Talk. https://t.co/FbnzourlYN
