Kyrie Irving is a man on a mission this season. He’s already played more games this season than the last, and we’re only halfway through it. He’s scoring at the same rate as the 20-21 season, and he’s only getting started.

The best part about all this? Apart from the odd time when he was suspended for his anti-Semitic tweet, he has been active for almost every game before and after. Kyrie Irving has been playing out of his Hanes socks, and the Brooklyn Nets thank him for it.
Scoring 38 points in a win against the Golden State Warriors, Kyrie showed why he’s the true heir to Allen Iverson. He also contributed 9 assists and 7 rebounds, outclassing Stephen Curry and co.
Okay Kyrie I see you!!! Back to back wins with box office performances as the Number 1 option. I’ll STFU for now!!! Carry the hell on…

Kyrie Irving was put on blast for not being an individual superstar – He proved his haters wrong
Kevin Durant has been out injured for seven games since January 7. In that time, Kyrie Irving has contributed to 3 wins and 4 losses. However, he has been the star of a losing show, trying his hardest to bring the Nets forward.
“Kyrie Irving, without a superstar on his team, he has a below-average winning record. … Can you win regular season games for a short period of time as you being the leader and the go-to guy? And right now, the answer is no.”

Kendrick Perkins, just a couple of days ago, put the Nets’ PG on blast on ESPN, saying he is always the Robin to someone else’s Batman. Tonight’s game against the reigning champions changed his mind completely.
Perkins is one of the only few analysts who accept they are wrong, unlike the others like Skip Bayless.
While it is true that Kevin Durant does a lot more for the team offensively, having another star step up and still provide wins is necessary.
Kevin Durant is sorely missed on the Nets roster – when will he be back?
Kevin Durant’s knee has no timeline of return – he is still in a brace and not yet up for reevaluation. The Nets will be assessing the next couple of days, but as of now, his timeline is unclear.
Until then, Kyrie and Ben Simmons will have to tough it out. Will they remain in the top half of the table until then? Maybe the All-Star Break would provide much-needed respite for Durant after all.
