Shaquille O’Neal stayed as petty as ever as he trolled Rudy Gobert once again on social media following Jarret Allen’s block on him.

O’Neal is possibly the pettiest player to be considered an NBA legend. Despite his dominance and the security of his legacy, Shaq finds it fun to belittle current centers. He has gone after the likes of JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard, Al Horford and is now on Rudy Gobert’s back.
Shaq joked that Rudy is an inspiration for kids that ‘if you average 11 points, you get $200 million’. Many think that Shaq is doing this purely because he’s jealous of the money current stars make. This is despite Shaq being one of the highest earners in NBA history.
In the past, Dwight and JaVale have both admitted that Shaq’s blunt words have affected their confidence. Shaq even threatened JaVale on Twitter for ‘acting like a G’ in 2017.
Shaquille O’Neal trolls Rudy Gobert for getting blocked by Jarrett Allen
In the matter of Rudy Gobert, Shaq hasn’t quite reached the same levels of animosity. But he is showing clear signs that he’s readying himself for a war of words that may never materialize. Shaq’s definitely acting like he wants all that smoke.
Rudy Gobert was blocked by Jarrett Allen in the 3rd quarter of Jazz’s game in Brooklyn last night. It was a neat block, all things considered, but nothing too spectacular or to get hyped about. But Shaq retweeted a video of the same in his pettiness. It was captioned ‘Baguette Biyombo’ – a comparison of the 6’8″ Hornets center to the Jazz big man who’s French.

Gobert has already stated his intention not to engage with the Lakers legend in a spat. It is unlikely that he will take it too seriously. It’s quite possible Gobert doesn’t even see this tweet, given that he’s not very active. Taking the high road is the best option in a situation like this, and Rudy will stick to it.
