Kevin Durant is undoubtedly a Top-10 player in the NBA. The Slim Reaper is an absolute bucket known for his amazing scoring ability. Something that has helped him achieve greatness in the league.

However, despite being an excellent scorer, KD isn’t without his flaws. In recent times, he was heavily criticized for his failed tenure with the Brooklyn Nets. Durant was expected to lead the Nets to championship glory.
It was this inability that led to many NBA superstars and legends alike calling him out. Chief among them was Scottie Pippen, who particularly rammed Durant for his Game 7 failure in the Easter Conference Semifinals in 2021. But, unfortunately, Scottie’s criticism did not go unchecked, and KD responded with fire.
Kevin Durant bashed Scottie Pippen for calling him out on his Game 7 performance in 2021
The 2021 Eastern Conference semi-finals saw the Brooklyn Nets take on the Milwaukee Bucks. The climax of the series saw both teams face off in Game 7 with a place in the Conference Finals on the line. And, for the Nets, all their hopes lay on Kevin Durant.
To be fair, the two-time NBA Champion had a great game. He had 48 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. But, with the game on the line, KD missed a game-winning three because he accidentally put his foot on the line. It was heartbreaking, both for the Net fans and Durant himself.
However, despite the obvious annoyance surrounding the whole situation, there were those who decided to criticize him. And, Scottie Pippen was one of the first to do so. The six-time NBA Champion called out Durant in a GQ interview, stating he is no LeBron James. Well, this did not sit well with KD, who immediately got on his phone and responded with a few harsh tweets.
Didn’t the great Scottie pippen refuse to go in the game for the last second shot because he was in his feelings his coach drew up the play for a better shooter??

Safe to say that was the last time Scottie decided to critique the Slim Reaper. Yet, there are still those who do not fear the infamous keyboard warrior. Like Sir Charles Barkley.
Charles Barkley has been highly critical of KD in recent times
Scottie Pippen may have learned a harsh lesson, but that does not mean the rest of the NBA will keep quiet. Although Kevin Durant might be quick to tweet, there are still those who will not hesitate to call him out. One of the primary figures who have been especially critical of KD is Charles Barkley, and the 2022-2023 season was no exception.
It just goes to show, that there are those who aren’t too worried about Durant’s Twitter fingers. And, given what is happening with the Phoenix Suns right now, Chuck may not be done lambasting the 2014 MVP.
