Scottie Pippen, Who had a $4 Million Non-functional Jet, Once Spent $130,000 on a Custom Porsche 911 Cabriolet

Scottie Pippen is a basketball legend and one of the most successful players in NBA history. He spent 18 seasons in the league and won it all.

Six NBA Championships as part of one of the greatest dynasties of all time, the Chicago Bulls, speaks for itself. Over the course of his career, Scottie made his fair share of the money, earning close to $110 million.

What did he do with all that money? Well, one of his many investments was a custom Porsche 911 Cabriolet. A car he spent $130,000 on.

Scottie Pippen once spent $130,000 on a custom Porsche 911 Cabriolet

The life of an NVA superstar is lavish, to say the least. Most of them receive exorbitant amounts of cash and they have no idea what to do with it.

Well, this wasn’t the case for Scottie Pippen. The Hall of Famer was a big fan of cars, and one of the cars he owned was a custom Porsche 930 Cabriolet. A car he spent $130,000 on.

Pippen commissioned Perfect Power in Illinois to make the car. Some of the customizations included a custom body kit, custom interiors, and much much more.

It certainly is a lot of money to spend on car customizations. But, it is hardly the most expensive thing he has spent his money on.

Pippen once bought a $4.3 million private jet that wouldn’t even fly

Paying $130,000 for car customizations doesn’t happen often. But neither does buying a useless $4.3 million private jet. Unfortunately, Bulls legend Scottie Pippen did both. The six-time NBA Champion bought a Gulfstream G200 in 2002. Unfortunately, it was a plane that refused to take flight.

It most certainly was a blunder on his part. Nevertheless, it was a mistake in what has otherwise been a very successful career in the world of business for Pippen.
