Dennis Rodman has predicted that the ongoing feud between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen is going to end eventually. Rodman, who was a pivotal player in the 90s’ Chicago Bulls’ second three-peat campaign, is probably one of the most reliable authorities on the relationship between the two estranged Hall-of-Famers. Therefore, the 62-year-old’s recent remarks might provide Bulls fans with some hope of a possible reconciliation between two of the franchise’s greatest players.

The release of Netflix’s The Last Dance strained Jordan’s relationship with Pippen for the first time. The latter felt that the popular docuseries, which MJ had editorial control over, discounted the contributions of the ‘others’ in the Bulls squad, including him. While promoting his 2021 book Unguarded, Pippen tried to undermine The Last Dance‘s supposedly ‘hero-worship’ narrative by taking several digs at Jordan. The six-time NBA Champion even called MJ a ‘horrible player‘ to play with earlier this year.
However, Rodman tried to downplay the distance between the two during a recent interview with TMZ. “I never saw them [Jordan and Pippen] fight. Even after the season, I never saw that. They were always hanging out together, playing golf together, traveling together,” the five-time NBA Champion said.
“It’s just a lot of things that’s happened over the last couple of years. So, I think Scottie’s a little bitter and Michael’s more laid back and say, ‘Okay, like whatever,’ but they’re gonna work it out,” Rodman added.
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s relationship is a difficult puzzle to solve
Jordan’s beef with Pippen took a new turn after the latter’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, started dating His Airness’ youngest son, Marcus. The relationship gained much notoriety in the media and amongst the masses for the couple’s relationships with the two Bulls greats.
Larsa and Marcus have even triggered rumors of getting married in the near future. As a result, Jordan and Pippen’s alienated relationship has become a very difficult puzzle to solve.
Even though Rodman’s remarks may provide hope for a potential reunion between the two, the way things are placed right now, it is tough to happen. In any case, it will be interesting to see who proposes the truce. Judging by Jordan’s behavioral history, it surely wouldn’t be him.
