Shaquille O'Neal Unable to Hide Astonishment After $106,000,000,000 Worth Businessman's Venture Sets 7-Hour Record

A seismic power shift in the world of social media has seen Mark Zuckerburg’s – worth $106,000,000,000 – Threads rack up as many as 80 million users in just a few days, according to Wikipedia. The influx of users comes at a time when Twitter, recently bought by Elon Musk, introduced a range of new restrictions. This includes paid verification, post-limits, and increased suspensions across the platform. Threads has also seen an influx of various NBA stars, which includes LA Lakers legend, Shaquille O’Neal. The tech-savvy, entrepreneurial O’Neal has a net worth of over $400 million and has left impressed with the new social media platform.

Shaq shared a post on his Threads account documenting the record-breaking influx of users that Threads saw after its launch. It exponentially became the fastest to reach 10 million users, reaching the number in just 10 hours. The 2nd quickest to do so was in 40 days (ChatGPT), with the 2nd quickest social media platform Instagram, doing it in 355 days.

Shaquille O’Neal shares astonishing statistics about social media platform Threads

O’Neal shared the graphic with the caption “Dam,” and is one of many NBA-related personalities to have joined Threads quickly. This includes the likes of Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry, who have both joined the platform within a week of its release.

The platform’s rise has truly been commendable, with 3 of Zuckerburg’s offerings making up the top-5 list. Facebook reached 10 million users in 852 days, while Twitter did so in 780 days.

Instagram was third overall on the list, although ChatGPT is an AI tool, rather than a social media platform. It ranks 2nd on the list, and reached 10 million users in 40 days.

Threads’ incredible rise meant that it only took around 10 hours for 10 million users to crop up. Part of the credit undoubtedly goes to the downright rigid new rules that Elon Musk has been guilty of introducing in recent weeks. If the trend continues, it will only be a matter of time before Threads’ user base compares with Twitter’s overall user count of around $368 million.

NBA stars taking Threads by storm, ft. Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and O’Neal

A range of NBA stars seem to have hopped on the Threads trend. Shaquille O’Neal announced his arrival in emphatic fashion and has been highly active on the platform.

Giannis on the other hand, took the opportunity to troll Twitter, claiming that Threads was a much better platform. Stephen Curry has also been active on the platform and has been using it much more than Twitter, recently.

With such a quick influx of celebrities, Threads is only going to attract more users in the coming time. NBA fans might also be tempted to sign up, considering the sheer activity that Threads has registered so far. There is little doubt that Elon Musk will already be regretting splurging more than $40 billion on Twitter.
