It exponentially became the fastest to reach 10 million users, reaching the number in just 10 hours. The 2nd quickest to do so was in 40 days (ChatGPT), with the 2nd quickest social media platform Instagram, doing it in 355 days.

Part of the credit undoubtedly goes to the downright rigid new rules that Elon Musk has been guilty of introducing in recent weeks. If the trend continues, it will only be a matter of time before Threads’ user base compares with Twitter’s overall user count of around $368 million.
