Shaquille O’Neal is a man of many philosophies. He didn’t give himself the nickname ‘The Big Aristotle’ for nothing. However, just because he seems to have a certain sense of wisdom doesn’t mean he isn’t privy to common mistakes like believing a word exists when in reality he clearly made it up on the spot.

‘Inside the NBA’ returned last night to cover the first slew of play-in tournament games, with the night ending off with the Los Angeles Lakers beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-102. The Wolves were up by as many as 15 points in the second half before scoring just 9 points in the final 11 minutes and 58 seconds of the 4th quarter.
The purple and gold fought their way back through their gritty defense and Mike Conley’s three free throws were the only reason for the game going into OT. Of course, LeBron James and company would come out on top.
Shaquille O’Neal makes up a word on the spot
Shaquille O’Neal once told Charles Barkley that he would put $10,000 of his own money on the line if he could spell the word ‘spectacular’. Chuck would go on to spell it correctly but Shaq seemingly never gave the Rockets legend the aforementioned 10k.
Now, it seems as though the 3x Finals MVP has made a grammar mistake of his own. While talking about how the Minnesota Timberwolves broke down on both ends of the floor to finish out the game, he used the word ‘dismantilization’.
Ernie, Chuck, and Kenny would immediately start to clown on Shaq for making up a word on the spot. Of course, in true Shaq fashion, he claimed that if he said the word, it means that it exists.
“Dismantilization” is not a word, @Shaq 💀 pic.twitter.com/RwT7TOXHUD

Western Conference Play-in scene as of April 12th, 2023
The Los Angeles Lakers have earned themselves a spot in the Playoffs as the 7th seed. They will now be able to rest from today up until Sunday in anticipation of their first round matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, a team missing both Brandon Clarke and Steven Adams.
The Minnesota Timberwolves on the other hand, in the midst of Rudy Gobert’s suspension, Jaden McDaniels’ broken hand, and Anthony Edwards’ 3-17 performance, will have to face off against the winner of the play-in game between the Pelicans and the Thunder. They will fight for the right to face off against the Denver Nuggets in the first round.
