It will be fair to say that NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has passed down some incredible basketball genes to his kids. This includes the likes of Shaqir and Shareef O’Neal, aged 20, and 23. Apart from the two boys, the 17-year-old Me’Arah and the 20-year-old Amirah are also basketball stars. The latter currently plays for the LSU Tigers. Me’Arah, on the other hand, is currently attending the Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California, and will be making a decision about her college future soon.

Now 17, Me’Arah is known to be able to dunk since the age of 13, which is a trait that must have been passed down from Shaq. Courtside Films shared a video of her highlights on Instagram. The clip was then shared by her brother Shareef O’Neal, who must be proud of Me’Arah. Like most of Shaq’s kids, Me’Arah also has some obvious basketball talent and is expected to succeed in college basketball in the coming years.

Shareef O’Neal, who currently plays for the NBA G League Ignite, is himself an NBA prospect and aims to register for a draft in the coming time. His sister however, might be an even bigger talent.

Me’Arah not only has the defensive ability and the dunking ability that Shaq possessed. She is also a two-way presence and has been said to have better shooting than her father already. according to the “strictlybball” Instagram account:
“What if I told you that Shaq’s daughter has been able to dunk since she was 13 years old. Meet Me’Arah O’Neal, who is able to knock down NBA-range 3s with ease. I was surprised to see that Me’Arah does most of her scoring from behind the arc. If you ever tell someone that this is Shaq’s daughter, they probably will not believe you, coz she is already a better shooter than he ever was in his career.”

Unlike Shaq, Me’Arah is a long-range sniper and one of her strengths is 3-point shooting. She has received offers from multiple colleges including LSU, and might as well become a recognizable name in the future.
Me’Arah O’Neal to continue Shaquille O’Neal’s legacy in the WNBA?
Me’Arah O’Neal is ranked 42nd in the class of 2024 and has multiple college offers. She is already a more complete player than her father. However, she still has plenty of years before she can make it to the WNBA.
She is a two-way shooter capable of playing in multiple positions. Me’Arah also has decent passing skills. She looks to be the most obvious candidate to succeed at basketball among Shaq’s kids. The 17-year-old was said to have the potential to become the best-ever basketball player ever, by Shaquille O’Neal himself. Some obvious fatherly bias might have had an impact. However, there is little doubt that Shaq is excited by Me’Arah’s progress thus far.
