Stephen Curry is one of the greatest point guards that the game has ever seen. It could be slightly intimidating for certain people when they are meeting one of the most accomplished players of the modern NBA. However, Jordan Bell, when drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2017, was pleasantly surprised to learn just how down-to-earth the two-time MVP was.

Back in 2022, Jordan Bell recollected his first encounter with Stephen Curry. Speaking on the Dubs Talk podcast, the forward couldn’t have prepared himself for the warm reception he received from Curry.
Jordan Bell shed light on the personality of Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is one of the most classy personalities in the basketball world. The superstar treats everyone with equal respect and doesn’t boast despite being an all-time great.
Jordan Bell was all praises when speaking about Curry’s character.
“Steph is exactly what you see,” Bell said. “People are always asking me ‘How is Steph? How is he in person?’ And I always tell them, ‘He doesn’t know he is Steph. He doesn’t know he is the best shooter in the NBA and one of the greatest players and guard to play the game,’ ” Bell said.
“And I’m just like, ‘He doesn’t know it because he acts like he’s still in college, or high school, he’s still so pure to the game and always has a smile on his face.'”
Bell played merely 14.2 minutes per game during that 2017-2018 campaign. However, the lack of playing time didn’t seem to bother him. In fact, the former Oregon Duck was more than satisfied with how his future Hall-of-Famer teammates treated him.
Bell won a Championship in his rookie year
For a second-round pick, playing alongside the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala, Jordan Bell did receive ample playing time during the postseason. During the 2018 Championship run, the 23-year-old had recorded 2.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game.
After the conclusion of the 2018-2019 season, the big man parted ways with the Bay Area side. He was acquired by the Minnesota Timberwolves and got traded to the Memphis Grizzlies after merely 27 games.
Since then, Bell has been tossed around the league, having played for two more franchises. Before making his way to China in 2022, the 2018 NBA Champ did have a stint in the G-League, playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
