Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns are done for. It’s over, the playoff run, and potentially even his time in the NBA. After all, the man did allegedly made a statement about joining Dwight Howard in Taiwan if he couldn’t win a ring with Kevin Durant on his team. And apparently not only has Dwight Howard heard him, but he is actively looking to get him in the same country as him too. Something that Shaquille O’Neal will not love whatsoever.

You see, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard have always had a cagey relationship. In the early years of Howard’s NBA career, the two were mostly cordial with each other. However, then Dwight made an attempt to steal Shaq’s favorite nickname ‘Superman’ during the 2008 Slam Dunk contest. And that’s where all hell broke loose.
To this day, Shaquille O’Neal hates Dwight Howard. So much so, that he even needlessly discredited everything he achieved playing in Taiwan. And yet, that has not stopped Dwight Howard from pulling a few shenanigans to try and make Chris Paul his new teammate.
Dwight Howard piggybacks on Chris Paul’s alleged Taiwan statement
Chris Paul is already 38 years old now. But, unlike LeBron James, he is no freak of nature. There has been a noticeable decline in his performance and health. Really, the only reason he has kept going for so long is because he still wants a ring. However, he keeps failing over and over again in his quest.
Seeing this, Dwight Howard decided it was time to ask Paul to do something beyond radical. He decided to motivate CP3 to join him in Taiwan. Take a look at Howard’s recent tweet below.

“Taiwan calling”
In fact, Dwight Howard is so excited about it, that the man even decided to make an Instagram reel on the matter. Take a look at it below to see how that turned out.

As far as Dwight Howard is concerned, this is written in the stars. However, he is forgetting a major question here. Did Chris Paul really ever say something so outlandish in the first place?
Is Chris Paul’s ‘Taiwan’ statement real?
From all our research, everything points to Chris Paul’s ‘Taiwan’ statement being fake. After all, in this day and age, there are too many troll accounts that are very good at Photoshop jobs. And once you add AI-generated content to the mix, suddenly this becomes a whole other ball game.
So, as much fun as the world has been having with this, and as wild as it would be if the statement was real, it just isn’t. So no, we don’t think Chris Paul is headed to Taiwan either.
