Damian Lillard is now the Portland Trail Blazers’ all-time leading scorer. To lead a franchise in points scored is a crowning achievement for anyone. Only 10 players in the NBA currently have the prestige of this title.

And overall, there are only 30 franchises so you can do the math. Lillard has been and is one of the league’s best point guards. Dame Dolla has lit up the league with a flamethrower of an arm and a range that even a sniper would be envious of.
He’s made arguably, two of the three best clutch shots in NBA playoff history. And as a 32-year-old who continues to add to his game, the sky is the limit.
So, in the tribute ceremony for breaking Clyde Drexler’s record, Dame was honored like the Blazers legend he is, and being a doting father, he brought his kid on for the ceremony.
Young Damian Jr was running all over the place and it prompted his father to make an ironic comment.
“That’s where daddy shoots from”: Damian Lillard points out his range
Dame was feeling it tonight. The love from the crowd, the energy, and all the emotions. Lillard acknowledged Portland as his new home and had time to tell his kid about his legend.

“That’s where daddy shoots from”, says Lillard as he points to just outside the logo and still quite a few yards away from the 3-point line. And while the crowd was laughing, everyone knew he was telling the truth.
Damian’s son was in a frenzy of his own, as any 4-year-old would. He probably has no idea what happened but when he looks back, you can be certain of this moment’s impact.
Dame’s iconic career is filled with moments of shock and awe
If you are familiar with Lillard’s game, you know one thing, his highlight reel is simply incredible. Shots from near the half-line that seemingly swishes in and makes even Stephen Curry envious, buzzer beaters that are otherworldly, and an ability to score inside the paint, Dame has everything.
The point guard might not have a championship and his quest will continue over the next few years but as a legend, his worth cannot be more understated.
Dame is for Portland. Dame is for the NBA. For someone who is all about loyalty, we hope he finds glory soon. And that he gets rewarded for taking the tough road.
