“The announcer took a cheap shot at LeBron James”: Shannon Sharpe backs up the Lakers MVP for getting heated with an announcer at Bronny’s AAU game

Shannon Sharpe believes LeBron James did the right thing by stepping in and confronting an announcer at Bronny’s AAU game.

Well into his sophomore year, Bronny is currently playing out his AAU season with the team ’Strive for Greatness’ as they look to rack up wins with LeBron James coaching them up from the sidelines. Bronny has been playing quite well and looks like the playmaking slasher that he was scouted as being. Not to mention that he’s gotten some serious bounce now.

In a recent game that SFG played, Bronny and his squad were down by 5 points down the stretch. This led to the 16 year old putting his head down and driving to the lane from the right wing. He did this, of course, to initiate contact to get to the charity stripe for a potential and-1 or at least, some free throws.

When the foul was called in Bronny’s favor, the PA announcer at the game claimed that the only reason it was called was because LeBron James is his father and he was in attendance that day. James didn’t take too lightly of this and immediately confronted the announcer.

LeBron James was well within his rights to confront the announcer at Bronny’s game.

Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Undisputed’ has made it a staple of their show to discuss any and everything related to LeBron James. With both analysts being on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to the Lakers star, it’s interesting to see what Shannon has to say when it comes to the ‘announcer debacle’.

“I thought it was a cheap shot by the announcer to frame it like this. LeBron James was well within his right to step in and say that was unnecessary.”

Quite nearly every person who’s seen the clip agrees with Sharpe on this this. Even the commentators believed that what the 4x champ did was warranted and claimed that they would’ve done the same when in that situation.
