Scottie Pippen loved facing the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden

Back in the 1990s, the infamous Chicago Bulls dynasty had several rivals. The Detroit Pistons, the Utah Jazz, the Seattle Supersonics, and one of their most intense rivals, the New York Knicks.

The Knicks were an amazing team. Led by Patrick Ewing, the team regularly posed a challenge to the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately, they always came up short. Mainly thanks to the determination the team, specifically Scottie Pippen had when they faced off at Madison Square Garden.

Pippen shared his thoughts on facing the Knicks in an interview with GQ Sports.

“The Knicks were a great team in the 90s. They were just as good as the Bulls and they felt like it was their time to win. So, it was always great. Playing here, this is the Mecca of basketball. Great fans, had great knowledge of the game, and it was always a fun place to play. And, we were the team that was able to keep them down!”
