Skip Bayless takes to Twitter to say that when healthy, the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers would easily beat the Lakers.

Looks like this shorthanded version of the Los Angeles Lakers heard all the noise surrounding their inability to win without their two superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The purple and gold brigade made it their mission to make an example out of their opponent last night, which just so happened to be the number one seed out East, the Brooklyn Nets.
Much has been said about the Brooklyn Nets and their ‘valiant’ efforts in the buyout market, as many suggested that getting guys like Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge to pair up alongside their pre-existing big 3 is ruining the game by removing any sense of competition.
Those fans can claim a small victory today as LaMarcus Aldridge made Andre Drummond look like a top 5 center in the NBA, due to his abysmal defensive effort.
Granted, this matchup does not say much about who the superior team is as there were 4 superstars missing on both teams, if you were to include Kyrie Irving’s ejection in the 3rd quarter.
Skip Bayless says the Lakers won’t be able to beat the Brooklyn Nets nor the Clippers
Amidst the 126-101 blowout win by the LakeShow over the Nets, Skip Bayles, notorious for siding with any team that poses a challenge to LeBron James, took to Twitter to defend Kevin Durant’s squad.
“The Nets obviously didn’t take the Lakers seriously tonight. But when both teams are at full strength, the Nets are obviously better. Too much firepower. Won’t matter any way. The Lakers won’t get past Rondo’s Clippers.”

A take as egregiously cold as this one needs to addressed. Yes, the Brooklyn Nets are looking like the favorites to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy at the end of this 2020-21 NBA season. Analysts from Zach Lowe to Doris Burke have said that they would pick Brooklyn to win it all. So, Skip claiming that the Lakers cannot beat them could very well be true.
However, for him to say that a team that blew a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets in the second round of the Playoffs last year, will definitively beat a healthy Lakers team is preposterous.
Adding Rajon Rondo to the mix seems like it is a good fit, especially after his stellar outing against Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns. But Rondo can only do so much, as it is Kawhi and PG who have to step up when the going gets tough; something they did not do in Game 7 against the Nuggets.
