‘They pay Luke Kennard not you!’: Lakers center Montrezl Harrell reacts to Clippers signing shooter to 4-year, $64 million deal
Former Clippers center Montrezl Harrell made a passive-aggressive tweet reacting to the news of Luke Kennard’s Clippers extension.
The Clippers and Montrezl Harrell did not have the best endings to their time together. When the Clippers’ season ended in such a tragic fashion, Harrell was seen pointing fingers at Paul George and others. When the time came, the Clippers did not offer a viable contract to Trez and the Lakers managed to scoop him up.
As it turns out, Harrell is still keeping a close watch on things happening within the Clippers organization. When Woj reported about the Clippers offering a 4-year, $64 million extension to guard Luke Kennard, Trez had something to say about it.
The deal includes $56 million in guaranteed money, with a majority of the additional $8 million in incentives considered reachable, Mintz and Spahn say.

Montrezl Harrell reacts to news of Luke Kennard’s extension with laughing emojis
The Clippers signed their backup guard Luke Kennard a 4-year extension. The Clippers acquired Kennard on a draft-night trade. It is unusual for a team giving a role player a contract extension without the player even having played a single game for the team. It speaks to the Clippers’ fear of losing assets for nothing.
Montrezl Harrell reacted to the same thing with laughing emojis.
😂😂😂😂 OK!

Montrezl Harrell seems like he is ready to embrace his role with the Lakers. It would be interesting to see how he fits in with the Lakers as they go against his former team, the Clippers for their opening night game. The Clippers take on the defending champions, the Lakers for the second part of the opening night doubleheader.
The Opening Night starts with the Golden State Warriors taking on the Brooklyn Nets at Brooklyn. This would air at 7 PM ET.
The second part of the doubleheader would be a battle of the LA. That match would air from 10 PM ET.
