"Tom Brady has more clutch moments than Michael Jordan did": Skip Bayless comments on comparisons between the GOATs of the NFL and the NBA

On Friday’s episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless went on a reverie talking about his two favorite athletes – Tom Brady and Michael Jordan.

We all know how much Skip Bayless adores Michael Jordan. Bayless has taken every opportunity he’s got on his show to anoint Michael Jordan as his GOAT. Even though it is conventional wisdom to pick Jordan, this hasn’t upset Skip, who even brings him up on unrelated issues.

Bayless is, if that’s possible, even more passionate about his fandom of Tom Brady. The former Patriots player and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers player has now played 20 seasons in the NFL. Brady’s success with the New England Patriots is at a whole other level than any other NFL player.

Brady has 6 Super Bowl victories, while Jordan has 6 NBA championships. Both of them are conventionally regarded as the GOATs of their sports, and with good reason.

Skip Bayless compares Tom Brady to Michael Jordan

Skip began by stating up front how hard it was for him to split hairs over this topic: “I could talk about it for the rest of the show.”

“It’s hard for me to say Brady is more clutch than Michael Jeffrey Jordan. BUT, Tom Brady has been more clutch than Jordan had the opportunity to be clutch, because he’s done it longer. Mike’s career, all told, was relatively short. The forced sabbatical for a couple of years, and then he quit prematurely in Chicago because his coach got fired.”

“Tom’s been doing this for 20 years. So if you look at the scope of his consistent, classic clutchness, it’s unequal – it’s unparalleled. One shot or one pass for your life, I’ll take Jordan. One game for your life, I’m going Brady. If you look at the scope of Brady’s consistent, classic, clutchness, it’s unequaled.”
