"Tom Brady has an unrelenting drive sets him apart": What Michael Jordan and LeBron James said about the NFL's greatest quarterback ever ahead of Super Bowl LV

Associated Press interviewed Michael Jordan and LeBron James ahead of Super Bowl LV for their opinion on Tom Brady, ahead of his 10th appearance.

If there was any doubt as to who the NFL’s greatest quarterback of all time is, Tom Brady has put them to rest. At the age of 43, Brady remains a dominant offensive force of the game. It’s not so much about spectacular highlights with Tom Brady as his cool head.

Brady is up against Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback who is off to possibly the greatest career start ever. The 25-year-old is now in his second Super Bowl appearance through his 3rd season. The Chiefs sport a dominant look, having gone 15-1 in the regular season.

What Michael Jordan and LeBron James said about Tom Brady ahead of Super Bowl LV

Michael Jordan thinks that it is Brady’s competitive spirit that sets him apart:

“I’ve known Tom for a long time, and to me, his intelligence and sheer determination to win are off the charts. That unrelenting drive is what truly sets him apart from anyone else in the game.”

LeBron James was quite expansive on why he considers Brady as his GOAT too:

“Tom Brady’s appearance) lets me know and lets both of us know that we can still play this game at a high level. No matter how many miles, how many games, no matter how many doubters. No matter the statistics in our prospective professions at our age, we can still dominate our sport.”

“And also, we can bring together groups that we may not have been around for a long period of time. And just our professionalism … We gravitate toward people who gravitate toward us because we have one common goal, and that’s to win and win at the highest level.”

A seventh Super Bowl victory would put Tom Brady one-up on his sporting idol – Michael Jordan himself. We’re pretty sure he’d be stoked by that.
