LeBron James and Damian Lillard react to Trae Young setting a new career high in points in the Playoffs in a Game 1 win over the Bucks.
It’s safe to say that absolutely no one saw the Atlanta Hawks snagging 9 victories in this postseason, except for Hawks fans. Trae Young has led Atlanta to a Game 1 upset victory over the Milwaukee Bucks after dropping his career high in points in the Playoffs with 48, all without the services of DeAndre Hunter and Cam Reddish.

Trae Young was undoubtedly the man of the hour as it was his night all game long. He did everything from shimmying on Jrue Holiday to splash an open 3, lobbing the ball to John Collin off the backboard, locking up Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 3rd quarter to force a tough turnaround shot, and of course, knocking down a bevy of late game free throws down the stretch.
It’s a shame for the Bucks that the one great game they got from Jrue Holiday this postseason did not result in a win. Speaking of Holiday, the series preview for this ECF had the Bucks guard ‘locking’ Trae down. This clearly was not the case last night.
NBA superstars like Damian Lillard and LeBron James react to Trae Young and his 48 points.
LeBron James took to Twitter while the game was going on to share his disbelief for what Trae Young was doing on the court. In regards to the aforementioned shimmy into a 3 on Jrue Holiday, James tweeted out, “Chill the hell out man!” and Damian Lillard also reacted with a simple, “Yea Trae!”
Yea Trae 🔥🔥

It’s incredible to see that 3 out of the 4 teams remaining in the Playoffs are led by players that are 26 years and younger, with Trae being the youngest of them all. The sharpshooting guard has proven in this postseason that he’s a natural leader, rallying his teammates even when down in a series or down 20+ points in a game.
With Game 2 also in Milwaukee, it’ll be interesting to see if the Bucks completely botch their home-court advantage or if they can pull away for a win over this feisty squad.
