Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most interesting personalities associated with basketball. The 7ft 1″ big man played for 19 seasons in the NBA. Since his retirement, he’s been a part of the TNT network, where he appears on their basketball programs, and also hosts a podcast.

Shaq has impeccable knowledge about the game of basketball. Along with his co-hosts on Inside the NBA, the big man talks about the sport, all the while, having fun with his old sparring buddy Charles Barkley.
The case isn’t very different for his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast.’ He’s joined by Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams. On the podcast, Shaq and his crew discuss basketball as well as other recent occurrences in the world.
What makes Shaq so special is the way he’s able to keep being himself, despite achieving so much success and having a lot of pressure on him. Don’t believe me? Watch this clip from the latest podcast episode!
Shaquille O’Neal claims he’s a clown, breaks a chair to prove his point
For as long as Shaq has been on TV, he’s always made it a point to be his true self. It doesn’t matter if that means making a fool out of himself. Recently, O’Neal’s docuseries ‘SHAQ’ aired on HBO Max.
Talking about the first episode, Nischelle Turner praised how she saw a whole different side of the Big Diesel. She talked about how Shaq was full of love and displayed a lot of emotion. Responding to that, O’Neal said,
“Let me tell you why people misunderstand me. They misunderstand me because they take me seriously. How can you take a clown seriously!”
Shaq then proceeded to break his chair and continue sitting on the broken chair to prove his point.
“I got a nail in my left a**cheek, but it didn’t go in, so we alright! Come on, keep going!”
The big man then proceeded to sit like that for the entire episode. Talk about proving a point.

Shaq is no stranger to breaking things
Shaquille O’Neal sometimes tends to forget how big and strong he is. Or, if he remembers, he uses it to his strength. Take for example, when the Lakers got swept by the San Antonio Spurs in 1999, O’Neal flew in a fit of rage and ripped five urinals off the wall.
On the court, we’ve seen clips of Shaq breaking backboards during his early NBA days, causing the league to enforce rule changes.
Shaq has built a networth north of $400 Million, but I’m sure it could have been much higher if the big man didn’t deal the damages he had.
