The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to take on the Golden State Warriors. An interesting match to stay the least, it will feature the renewal of one of the greatest Playoff rivalries of all time. For the first time since 2018, LeBron James and Stephen Curry will face each other in the Playoffs. And, the last time they went at it, the two men couldn’t stop going back and forth with the trash talk.

Both the Warriors and the Lakers overcame adversity to progress in the Playoffs. The Warriors defeated a resilient Sacramento Kings team in a seven-game series. Whereas the Lakers, a Play-In team, managed to make short work of the second-seed Grizzlies in six games.
There can be no denying that both teams deserve to be here. But now, the focus shifts to a classic clash between two of the NBA’s greats. The King versus The Chef. A match that fans around the world have waited five whole years to see. And, if it is anything like their last meeting, there are sure to be some fireworks.
LeBron James and Stephen Curry were exchanging words incessantly the last time they faced off
The last time LeBron James and Step Curry went head-to-head, The King was still on the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was leading the team in a fourth straight Finals appearance against the Warriors. But, things didn’t go as planned.
It was a horrendous series for King James and the Cavs. Not only did it feature the Game 1 fiasco with J.R. Smith, but the team was ultimately swept 4-0. Handing the Dubs their third ring in four years.
The Warriors’ success ultimately came down to one person, Kevin Durant. The Slim Reaper was integral to giving them the edge. Just as he was the year before. But, perhaps one of the most iconic scenes of this series was the endless jawing between LeBron and Curry. The two were going at it. And, with the Lakers scheduled to take on the Warriors, one cannot help but wonder what’s in store.

One thing is for certain, it is going to be a guaranteed “banger” of a series. But, over the course of their 14 seasons together in the league, who has come out on top more often? Is it Steph? Or is it James?
Steph has the advantage over LeBron with a record of 25-17 against The King
Game 1 of the Warriors versus the Lakers will take place tonight. And, ahead of what is certain to be a great match, one has to wonder. Who has come out on top more often? Is it Stephen Curry or LeBron James? Well, in their 14 years of going up against each other, it is The Chef who has cooked The King more often.
They have faced each other a total of 42 times, and share 10 wins a piece in the regular season. But, it is in the Playoffs that Steph edges LeBron out, with a 15-7 record.

Either way, the storyline for this series is set. LeBron will be looking to close the gap on Steph. While the latter will be looking to increase his eight-game lead.
