LeBron James needs to turn into his superhero alter ego right about now. These are the NBA playoffs, after all, the stage he was deprived of for far too long. And that is exactly what the King seems to be doing, with the LA Lakers up 1-0 in this massive first-round series against the Memphis Grizzles.

Of course, their opponents are the 2nd seed for a reason, so they won’t be going down easily, something that guarantees a fun series along with some serious fighting spirit. And with that of course, come a few very interesting little incidents in the middle of games. Of course, we’re talking about some serious trash-talk. And it certainly helps that Dillon Brooks has an affinity for making every opponent despise him.
So, what does that result in? Well, let’s just say, LeBron James, has turned it all the way up. And during game 2, he had absolutely no problems in letting Mr. Scruffy Goatee know about it.
LeBron James participates in some rousing smack-talk with Dillon Brooks after burying a tough jumper on him
LeBron James is no stranger to some smack-talk. In fact, he seems to absolutely love it. Of course, when getting mad reminds many why you’re arguably the GOAT, you aren’t going to hate turning into the Incredible Hulk sometimes.
That said, despite having the body for it, James isn’t all about muscle and strength like the comic book character we just mentioned. No, there is some finesse to his game. And during game 2, it appears that Dillon Brooks got a face full of it, with a side of some words right after. Take a look at it all go down in the clip in the tweet below.

Exactly what LeBron James said to Dillon Brooks on that one is unknown. However, we can’t imagine it was very nice, or if it was even family-friendly. More than anything else though, we can’t help but feel Klay Thompson will love watching this one back.
Brooks has to win this series for his sake. Not for a championship, not even for going further in the postseason. No, we mean for his own dignity. That’s the only way he can ever justify talking down to so many all-time greats in the NBA. But then again, they need to win game 2 first.
