"We Can Do This All Night": Damian Lillard Depicts 'Grim' Reality To Teams Defending Giannis Antetokounmpo And Himself

Damian Lillard recently made his debut with the Milwaukee Bucks. Having been traded to the team after a trade saga that lasted months, Lillard played his first pre-season game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bucks, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dame at the forefront, secured a 97-108 win. Lillard played a solid game and managed 14 points, two rebounds, and three assists in the 22 minutes he played. Following the game, he sat down for the post-game press conference where he spoke about his debut and what it is like teaming up with the Greek Freak. Here, he gave a grave warning to opposing teams, hyping up the offensive potential of the one-two punch that is the combination of him and Giannis.

Damian Lillard issues a grave warning to opposing teams regarding the offensive juggernaut that is him and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Following the Milwaukee Bucks’ game against the Lakers, Damian Lillard issued a warning. Speaking highly of his new teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dame warned the rest of the league about their offensive ability. The two ended the night with a combined total of 30 points, in just 37 minutes on the court.

Lillard had nothing but high praise for the Greek Freak, hyping up his incredible skill set. He spoke about how he plans on passing the ball to Giannis every time he gets double-teamed. A one-two punch that according to him can keep taking down defenses “all night”.

It was an interesting assessment on Dame’s part and one that also makes a lot of sense. The combination of Lillard and Antetokounmpo will prove to be a conundrum for most defenses. Dame being a three-point specialist, can knock it down with ease from beyond the arc. And, when he is being guarded, Giannis, a paint beast, will make their opponents pay at the rim.

“He can dominate a game and win you a game… The first couple plays of the game, they trap me, and the guy that I’m releasing the ball to is Giannis. We can do this all night.”

This exact combo was on display early on in the Bucks’ win over the Lakers. Lillard even showed off his prowess on the defensive side of the ball, contributing with three steals. With this performance, one thing is for certain, Milwaukee is one of the favorites to go all the way and hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Dame picked Giannis as the player he wanted to team up with to win a championship months ago

Prior to being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, Damian Lillard was on the Portland Trailblazers. A few months back, while he was still in Portland, Dame sat down with GQ. Working on their “Actually Me” segment, Lillard answered a couple of fan questions, including one that is now ironically related to his current situation.

He was asked which NBA player he would team up with to win a championship. His answer? Well, it was none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo, the man he now finds himself playing with in Milwaukee.

It sure is incredible how this worked out for the three-point sniper at the end of the day. Hopefully, his statement will prove true, and he can finally win a championship ring with the Greek Freak’s help.
