“We Need a Second One!”: Giannis Antetokounmpo Sets Title Expectations For the Bucks, in Front of Thousands Milwaukee Fans

The Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks will finish the 2022-23 season as the best team in the NBA as they have already won 58 games in the season.

That would be enough to probably make them the top title contenders this season, because the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors, are not in as good a shape.

However, it looks like The Greek Freak thinks it is not enough. The 7-foot forward has thrown a warning to put the rest of the NBA on notice of what his team is playing for this year.

A challenge from Giannis Antetokounmpo to the entire NBA

The Milwaukee Bucks had a ceremony before the game against the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night, to honor its 2x MVP’s best individual season. After the ceremony, the Greek international had a special message for the crowd.

“We got to get another one. This is what we need [points to his finger]. We need a second one!” Giannis announced.

That’s not the way Antetokounmpo generally goes about his business. The 28-year-old generally walks his walk without talking about it a lot.

Now that he has promised a ring to the Bucks nation, let’s see how he delivers it to them as Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid also want it as much or probably more than he does.

What are the Bucks’ title chances?

Their recent 40-point loss against the Boston Celtics might have said otherwise but the Bucks don’t just have the arguable best player of the NBA (of the past 5 years at least), they also have one of the best squads in the league.

With the addition of Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic, they added to their depth a lot of playoff experience. With Meyers Leonard playing backup to Brook Lopez (DPOY candidate), this team has more depth than any other team.

If Khris Middleton somehow stays healthy throughout the Playoffs, it would be very difficult for any team to win a 7-game series against the Bucks.
