Andre Drummond says that the Lakers would be playing their best and trying to win against whomsoever they meet in the NBA Finals.
On Saturday night, Los Angeles Lakers were hosted by Kevin Durant and his Nets at the Barclays Center. Coming off a huge 28-point win over the Pelicans, the Nets looked to be the stronger team.

But the defending champions had other plans, managing to grab an impressive 126-101 upset over Brooklyn. The Lakers saw eight of the eleven players who played, scoring the ball in double digits.
It was the new acquisition Andre Drummond who led the pack with a terrific 20-point and 11-rebound double-double in only 22 minutes. Defensive energy is was what helped LAL secure the win, restricting Nets stars – Kyrie and Kevin to only a combined 40 points.
As many analysts and fans predict, this matchup was a preview of the NBA finals. When Drummond was asked about the possibility of playing against Brooklyn in the finals, he had a very diplomatic answer. He stated the Lakers would play their best and try to win games irrespective of the opponent. He further said:
“We’re just gonna take care of what we need to take care of and if it’s them we see in the Finals, or whoever it may be, we’re just gonna play to the best of our ability and try to come out with wins.”
Drummond on the possibility of seeing the Nets in the Finals:

With LeBron and Davis out for a few more weeks, the rest of the Lakers have to finish the season strong
This past offseason the Lakers added many key pieces to their squad to defend their title. Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol. As the two leaders of the team have been sidelined with injuries for a few weeks now, the Lakers further added big man Andre Drummond to their roster.
At the fifth spot in the West, they definitely didn’t expect to be in such low standing in the charts. Although Los Angeles previously mentioned, it didn’t matter what their seed is entering the playoffs, they’ll still be a dominant team.
With only 19 games remaining in their regular season, they would want to finish the season strong gaining a few positions in the standings. While the 17-time All-Star Bron, comes back in the lineup, the Lakers will have to be in decent form to keep their finals hopes alive.
