‘We’re like Dumb and Dumber’: Mavericks’ Boban Marjanovic makes hilarious comparison to describe relationship with Luka Doncic

Boban Marjanovic has found a new best friend after Tobias Harris – Luka Doncic. Since signing with the Mavs, the duo have cracked us all up.

Bobi and Tobi was a bromance that warmed the hearts of every NBA fan. The two played on 3 different teams together over 2 seasons. They got inseparably linked to each other with the fun they had.

Now, it’s Luka’s turn to be the butt of Boban’s antics. The two Eastern European lads really have a racket together. It is as endearing as the way Boban and Tobias used to hang out. Boban talked about it recently:

“We’re like Dumb and Dumber. You guys can guess who’s who. It’s a joke on the side. We have so much fun together.”

What expectations do Mavericks and Luka Doncic have this season?

The Mavericks are clearly doing a lot right, judging from last season. They submitted the most efficient offensive regular season by a team in NBA history. Led by Doncic, the Mavs are expert at getting their men open. They led the league in 3-point percentage last season.

Their main cause for concern is the lack of defensive acumen they displayed last season. This was especially apparent during 4th quarters. Dwight Powell’s loss caused them to take a significant step back on that end of the floor.

They have made amends to that end, bringing in Josh Richardson. Alongside Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell, he can plug the defensive problems that Luka often finds himself in. Doncic is often troubled by the speed of smaller guards when switched onto him.

Boban will, in all likelihood, be brought on again from the bench as a scorer on the inside. The Serbian also has great touch in and around the the paint and can actually create his own offense from his favorite spots.
