Why is Paul George Not Playing Tonight vs the Wizards?

The Los Angeles Clippers currently stand 8th in the Western Conference. Their record of 17 wins and 14 losses is nothing to boast of. However, it’s not the worst record either. From here, they can quite possibly go anyway. With Paul George sitting out tonight, though, the Clippers may have to waitanother game before improving their record.

George is again having an injury-riddled season. Of the 31 games the Clippers have played, PG13 made an appearance in just 22. He was also absent in the last game against the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers lost that game. They will want to defend their home against the Wizards but it won’t be easy without the 32-year-old star.

Paul George out due to knee soreness

Paul last played against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. In that game, he registered a triple-double for a resounding Clippers win.

However, he immediately missed the next game due to Knee soreness. Earlier, he was listed as questionable. But the latest reports have confirmed that Paul George will also miss today’s game due to a sore knee. But fortunately, George has not been diagnosed with anything concerning and will return soon.

But until his return, the Clippers will definitely struggle. Though Kawhi Leonard and John Wall will start today, they have hardly been reliable. Leonard has only played 10 games this season and is averaging 13.7 points. Wall, on the other hand, has played 24 games but is still averaging just 12.3 points and 5.5 assists per game.

This is why Reggie Bullock and Paul George’s absence will surely impact the way the Clippers perform tomorrow. The Wizards don’t have the best record but they can still take advantage of Ty Lue’s weak squad today.
