With all the rumors about Nets making a possible trade for James Harden, Skip Bayless believes it would be a chemistry disaster.

The Nets became an instant powerhouse last offseason when they landed two big-name free agents in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Though Durant missed all of 2019-20 with an Achilles tear, the team demonstrated their worth as a supporting cast to him. The Nets are primed to make a deep postseason run built as they currently are.
But given the track the Rockets have been on this offseason, they look set to blow their team up. Russell Westbrook has demanded a trade, and if the Rockets can’t find another running mate for Harden, he could be on the way out as well.
Skip Bayless has no faith in a Nets team with Harden
Skip Bayless is most well-known for his hateful comments towards LeBron’s legacy and gameplay. But he also has a significant track record of acting as a James Harden detractor.
The FS1 Undisputed host has never truly gotten on Harden’s side during his time with the Rockets. According to Bayless, Harden is a playoff choker who wilts on the toughest stages of all.
If in fact Kevin Durant is recruiting former teammate James Harden to push for a trade to Brooklyn, wonder how KD’s best buddy Kyrie will like that? Or is he pushing for it too? Will the Nets be allowed to play with two basketballs???

The question Bayless raises here is a pertinent one. We’ve seen how Westbrook and Harden didn’t exactly mesh well over the past season as two ball-dominant guards. While Kyrie and KD are both great off the ball, it would still be a tough ask for them to get going without enough touches.
The fit here is definitely a matter of concern in case the Nets decide to pull the trigger on the trade.
