"Witnessed Michael Jordan Air-Ball a Free-Throw!": Days After $3 Billion Sale, Brandon Miller Gets Back at MJ For 'Trash Talking' at Hornets Workout

Michael Jordan recently sold his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets for a whopping $3 Billion. However, His Airness still has the power to control who the franchise drafts with the second-overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. So, he attended all the pre-draft workouts, where he was revealed to talk some serious smack to potential Hornets draft pick, Brandon Miller. And, in that daunting situation, not only did Miller kick back, but he also spilled the beans on an embarrassing moment for the GOAT, to the media, just a day before the draft.

For most franchises in the NBA, team owners don’t often interrupt the front office’s decision-making too much. However, when it comes to the Hornets, Jordan is taking a completely different approach. Take a look at the tweet by Rod Boone below.

It has been widely reported that Miller had impressed MJ during his pre-draft workout. In other words, it’s going to take a miracle for Jordan to select someone else with the 2nd pick. And, to some degree, we may have got just that, as Brandon’s recent comments may have gotten him out of Charlotte.

Brandon Miller reveals that Michael Jordan air-balled a free-throw

Brandon Miller clearly isn’t scared to talk smack to anybody, which is likely the reason Michael Jordan was so impressed in the first place. However, even by his standards, he may have just gone too far.

Just one day ahead of the NBA Draft, the prospect took an interview with NBA Radio. Here, he was asked about his experience with Charlotte so far in the pre-draft process.

The answer started off peculiarly enough, with the 20-year-old revealing all the smack talk he and the GOAT exchanged. But then, he spun quite the yarn about MJ. And admittedly, it’s one that likely has the Bulls legend completely red in the face. Take a look at the tweet by ‘SiriusXM NBA Radio’ below to see what he said.

“He (Michael Jordan) told me (Brandon Miller), I was just a shooter, just shooting threes. So, I mean, there is nothing really about it. I know my talents and my abilities. Can’t really let Jordan get in your head, you know?

I kinda talked some trash back to him. I witnessed him (Michael Jordan) air-ball a free-throw too. I always have that up against him… He’s just old. He’s just being old.”

Michael Jordan air-balling a free throw is not something anyone could imagine, not even in his old age. And it’s something he certainly wanted to have kept a secret.

Instead, the whole world now knows about his little moment, and it’s all because of his favorite prospect.

However, as shocking as this was, Miller’s obscene statements against Jordan did not stop there.

Jordan is not Miller’s GOAT

For some time now, the NBA community as a whole has come together to agree that Jordan is the GOAT, while LeBron James is a close second. Miller couldn’t agree less.

For him, Michael isn’t good enough to bear the crown… and neither is LeBron. Instead, his answer to this highly debated question was beyond off-beat. Witness his statement in the tweet by Bleacher Report.

Paul George. That is Brandon Miller’s greatest basketball player of all time.

This take is as sweltering as the sun. But at least Miller is in his idol’s good books now.
