“Would’ve had 40 points and 5 blocks on the tallest man in human history”: When Shaquille O’Neal hilariously boasted about hypothetically dominating against a 9-footer
Shaquille O’Neal confidently claimed that he would’ve had 40 points, 19 rebounds, and 5 blocks on a 9-foot tall man, the tallest man in human history.
Shaquille O’Neal, more times than not, is bound to be the tallest person in any given room. Sure, put him on a team with the likes of Manute Bol, Tacko Fall, and Yao Ming and the Lakers legend would probably have to play the point guard position but this doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s a legit 7-footer.
Unlike guys in the NBA today like Kristaps Porzingis or Karl Anthony Towns, Shaquille O’Neal used all 7 et of his enormous frame to dominate like no other superstar had since Wilt Chamberlain in the 1960s. The ‘Big Aristotle’ earned himself 4 rings, 3 Finals MVPs, a regular season MVP, and a countless array of All-NBA and All-Star nods.
Going up against guys who were taller than him wasn’t really an issue due to the fact that he was one of the more athletic centers in the league during his time. However, there might’ve been a problem if he’d gone up against Robert Wadlow.
Shaquille O’Neal predicts an insane statline when talking about going up against the tallest man ever.
Standing at a Goliath-like height of 8’11, Robert Wadlow (1918-1940) is the tallest man to have ever walked on Earth, at least the tallest ever in recorded history. The ‘Alton Giant’ has several wax figures of his made and Shaquille O’Neal decided to stand next to one, resulting in a hilarious graphic being produced.

As shown, the 7 foot tall ‘Shaqtus’ was dwarfed by Wadlow’s stature but this didn’t stop him from claiming that he would put up a 40 and 19 statline with 5 blocked shots as well.
The 40 points and 19 rebounds may have been possible but blocking 5 shots on him seems like a bit of a stretch, even for Shaq.
