Golden State Warriors leader Stephen Curry speaks about his rivalry with the Lakers superstar LeBron James ahead of their play-in tournament clash.

Two of the superstars who have revolutionised how modern basketball is played are LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Both having an insanely deep offensive arsenal give their fans a treat to watch whenever they go at it against each other.

Their rivalry has gone to a whole new level. Steph’s Warriors and LeBron then with his Cavaliers produced some of the best series in the four consecutive finals they meet between 2015-2018. However, the two aren’t enemies. In fact, both these all-time greats have quite often spoken highly of each other’s game as well as personality.

With Golden State Warriors beating Memphis 113-101 on Sunday night, the Dub Nation has secured the 8th spot. Unfortunately for LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers, they have to face the wrath of a Stephen Curry-led Warriors team.

“You expect greatness”: Stephen Curry describing rivalry with LeBron James

What better match up could the fans have asked for? The in-form GSW will take on the defending champions in the first match of the newly-added controversial play-in tournament. While LBJ spoke his heart out criticising the tournament, it seems as if Chef Curry can’t wait to battle it out against the King.

Ahead of the Lakers-Warriors play-in tournament matchup, Golden State MVP perfectly described his fierce rivalry with Bron. The Baby Faced Assassin rightfully said:

“You expect greatness. It just brings out another level of intensity and excitement.”

The two do elevate their game when facing each other. In the 38 matches, the two have fought against each other throughout their careers, LeBron is trailing Steph 16-22. However, is outscoring him 30.4-23.6, outrebounding 10.1-4.9 and leading in assists 8.1-6.4.

If this matchup promises to be yet one more of the classic Stephen Curry-LeBron James intense matches, we know for a fact that the match will go down to the wire and surely be an entertaining one.
