‘You just kinda brush it off’: Stephen Curry reveals whether Warriors will trade for James Harden this offseason
Stephen Curry believes the James Harden to Warriors rumors are nothing but smoke billowing out of nothing.
The James Harden trade demand saga reached its peak last week when the Rockets superstar didn’t turn up for training camp. He was spotted partying with rapper friend Lil Baby, first in Atlanta, and then in Las Vegas.
Many believe that the Beard was holding out for a trade, but then he returned to Houston 2 days ago and tested negative for Covid-19. The 31-year-old is now back in individual training sessions.
But there are other reports of Harden reportedly angling for trades, specifically to teams like the Sixers and the Nets. The Warriors have also been mentioned as a possible destination. It seems difficult to see how they can put together a competitive offer, but the rumors are still out there.
Stephen Curry responds to Harden trade rumors
Curry appeared on 95.7 The Game’s “Damon, Ratto & Kolsky” on Wednesday. He shared his real thoughts on the Harden-to-Warriors rumor. He has come to accept that such rumors, true or false, are part of being in the NBA.
“What was it, probably like two or three years ago, there was a rumor that LeBron [James] was gonna leave [the Cleveland Cavaliers] and come play for us. There’s all type of stuff that you hear, and that’s all part of the small world that is the NBA rumor circles and whatnot.”
“Some of the stuff you kind of laugh at. Some of the stuff is just a part of the business but until anything happens in this league, you kinda just brush it off. It’s part of the nature of the business.”
