Bronny James may just be the most anticipated college recruitment of this year. The 18-year-old high school student has become eligible to opt for but has not yet finalized his college. It seems Savannah James and LeBron James are in no hurry to send their son to uni. Perhaps they want to keep pressure off their son.

That being said, Bronny has narrowed his college choices to just three schools. In a recent interview with the LA Times, the Sierra Canyon talent confessed Oregon, Ohio State, and USC were his top choices.
While the James family has been patient with the process, college coaches have understandably been a little pushy over signing the youngster. But a coach has alleged that Bronny’s parents have made the process a lot more difficult.
Coaches are not allowed to talk to Bronny James
As per a report by Jamie Shaw of On3, Coaches have been deeply invested in Bronny’s talents. However, his parents are making the recruitment process difficult. The unnamed coach claimed that the James family has made it way too difficult to reach Bronny. He also alleged that you could only schedule a meeting with Savannah James.
The anonymous coach claimed: “I tried to get involved, but you had to jump through a thousand hoops just to get to the mom… You’re not allowed to talk to the kid. You have to schedule a time on Tuesday or Thursday with the publicist just to talk to the mom.”

To be fair, LeBron and Savannah’s stance is justified. They are a family that has tasted immeasurable success. Right now, they want to protect their son and help him make the best decisions.
Savannah is acting as her son’s shield. The recent rise of Bronny James in the school circuit has made him a much-wanted prospect. Colleges will try everything in their power to recruit him. However, with Savannah’s oversight, it will be hard for coaches to sway Bronny’s decision.
Fans support Savannah and LeBron James
Fans are supporting Savannah and LeBron’s stance. They understood how as parents of a talented young man, they needed to ensure no coach or school was taking advantage of their son.
Welcome to the big leagues! You’re recruiting him, in part, because you know what the name will bring to your program (most importantly, your bottom line $$). The James family knows damn well that’s the case and is treating it as such, as they should.

Because schools aren’t recruiting him for his skill, strictly about selling out arenas. This doesn’t even happen with #1 recruits. They see the money he brings in and the attention he’ll bring upon the school. A lot of schools see him as product more than player.

Hopefully, Bronny will choose the college he feels most comfortable with. But in the meantime, we can’t help but be impressed by Savannah and Lebron’s dedication to their son’s future.
