Zion Williamson sneakers

The ‘Zion Williamson sneakers’ have been in high demand ever since the rookie star burst onto the NBA scene. Here we look at the sneakers that the Pelicans star wears.

Zion Williamson was drafted first overall in the 2019 NBA draft by New Orleans Pelicans and has a shoe contract with Nike’s Jordan Brand. The rookie sighed a $75 million deal with Nike’s Jordan brand in 2019 for a span of seven-years.

The deal is said to be the highest for an NBA rookie in the history of the NBA. The young Pelicans star came into the league with a massive name for himself in college basketball. No rookie had been hyped up more since a certain LeBron James had burst onto the scene.

The star rookie wears Nike Jordan 34 whose essential attributes are stability, quickness, and lightness. The Nike Jordan 34 prioritizes performance and style and has a “less is more” mentality.

Zion Williamson Nike Jordan Noah Edition

The latest Nike Jordan 34 “Noah” edition has been launched on July 30 and fans can get their hands on it from Nike’s official site.  The sneakers cost $195, but are a steal if you are  Zion fan and want to be part of history.

This edition is close to Zion as the mastermind behind the design of the shoe is Zion’s 7-year old stepbrother Noah Anderson. The design of the shoe has special scribbles drawn by Noah himself.

The design seems extremely cute and is very personal to Zion.

Zion’s Rookie season

The 2019-20 NBA season was cut short for Zion because of a knee injury and further, the coronavirus pandemic made it worse for the star rookie.

Before the suspension on March 11, the big man played only 19 games in which he was averaging  23.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists with a shooting percentage of 62.4%. Zion’s scoring volume is the highest in the past 23 years among any NBA player.

Zion’s injury has cost Pelicans a lot and in the restart also Zion is out of shape. He has played only 29 minutes and has scored 20 points and 5 rebounds in two seeding games for the Pelicans, which they lost.

The Pelicans are trying to phase Zion in slowly so as to not risk any other injury in the NBA bubble.
