The series of grand receptions of one of the most celebrated couple of India right now, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, is all set to end with their grand reception at the St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, the Indian superstars got married on 11th December at an 800-year-old palace in Tuscany, Italy. The wedding was attended only by a few close friends and family, with the new couple looking beautiful in their wedding dresses and were captured enjoying each other’s company.

The Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi hosted the first reception of “Virushka” on the 21st of December, which saw Kohli’s teammates Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Gautam Gambhir along with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma graced the function wearing a bandhgala sherwani and a red Benarsi saree respectively.

Superstars from Bollywood and the cricketing world are expected to attend today’s event in Mumbai. The Indian cricket team, along with head coach, Ravi Shastri and other support team will be in attendance tonight.

The spacious Astor Ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel will host the function, and it can host 300 guests. The ballroom is located on the ninth floor of the hotel, and has 23 foot-high ceilings and crystal chandeliers.

It has an area of 6,433 square feet, and is separated into three sections, a long hallway, a pre-function area, the central ballroom and the special Astor Terrace.

Floor-to-ceiling windows divide the ballroom from the Astor Terrace, with the ballroom hosting the function from 8pm on Tuesday.

The Indian team, along with captain, Virat Kohli, will depart for South Africa on Wednesday to contest in 3 Tests, 6 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

Anushka Sharma is expected to travel with the squad, but return to India after celebrating the New Year with her newlywed husband.
