Neesham & Ashwin involved in Twitter banter

Neesham & Ashwin involved in Twitter banter: All-rounders from New Zealand and India were seen in a Twitter banter.

While the rain interruption during the first T20I of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Brisbane was on, New Zealand’s James Neesham and India’s Ravichandran Ashwin were seen going at each other on social media platform Twitter, albeit in a comical manner.

It all started with Neesham posting a query as a tweet regarding the swapping of India-Australia match with a rugby match on his TV.

It was here when Ashwin tried to solve Neesham’s doubt, stating that the match has been interrupted due to rain.

Watching the funny side of things, the 28-year old Kiwi cricketer aimed at praising the Australian batting and taking an indirect go at the Indian team.

Not taking Neesham’s comment too seriously, Ashwin defended the Indian team by saying that the Indians are yet to bat. Perhaps, signalling that even they will get their chance to pour a rain of sixes.

It was at this point in time that Neesham’s reply cleared the air about his opinion on the Indian batsmen, chiefly captain Virat Kohli. Read his tweet below:

Currently out from the national team, Neesham had last played international cricket during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Ashwin, on the other hand, is a current member of the Indian Test team and will be flying to Australia for the four-match Test series.

Neesham’s ‘Raining sixes’ comment wasn’t received well by some of the Indian fans, who were seen lashing out at the Kiwi all-rounder. Read some of those tweets below:
