Neymar's back-pass vs Guingamp

Neymar’s back-pass vs Guingamp: PSG were on a roll against the bottom-placed Guingamp as the side registered a 9-0 victory.

Paris Saint Germain scored nine goals against Guingamp last night as they maintain their position at the top of the table in the Ligue 1.

Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani scored a hattrick, while Neymar bagged a brace and Thomas Meunier scored in a crushing victory.

Guingamp registered a stunning victory over PSG earlier this month in the Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinal, as Marcus Thuram scored an injury-time winner with a penalty goal.

While Neymar missed on a hattrick, he didn’t shy from showboating in the game. He displayed an incredible piece of skill in the second half.

Neymar’s back-pass vs Guingamp:

The 26-year old forward has been in good form for the club this season, and with the side leading 6-0 in the second half, Neymar took the opportunity to show his skills.

As Neymar received the long ball near the box, he turned around and passed the ball to Cavani with his back.

The pass was justifiably intentional as Neymar was unmarked and was facing the ball at the time of receiving the pass.

PSG went on to score nine goals in the game and maintain their unbeaten run in the league. However, they also received a setback in the initial stages of the game, as midfielder Marco Verratti was substituted with an injury.

The manager, Thomas Tuchel later confirmed that the Italian midfielder will spend a few weeks on the sideline as he recovers from the ankle injury.

“I am happy and sad. Happy because we won 9-0 with a good spirit and with a lot of quality. We had a lot of chances, we played with structure,” Tuchel said after the match.

“We controlled the counter-attacks and I am very happy for that. But I am sad for Marco Verratti. It’s possible that he will be out for a few weeks.
