The new season is almost here, and everyone is preparing earnestly for it. While the fans are busy trying to decide where to watch the game, the players are already preparing themselves for the tough schedules ahead. One such team is the Buffalo Bills, whose players are reportedly breaking their backs in training. At least, that is what their QB Josh Allen says.

NFL training is not the easiest and is definitely not for the faint-hearted. The players have to be at their peak in terms of stamina and body strength. They need to be able to run up and down the field. While simultaneously soaking in body blows from 300-pound men running into them at full speed. No matter the position, training is what keeps them all on their feet and ready to go. Though they might not always like it.
Josh Allen talks about the back-breaking “Iron Bills” challenge
Speaking on the show ‘Kyle Brandt’s Basement’, Bills’ signal caller Josh Allen recalled his last practice session that happened just hours before his appearance on the show. He says, ” So we did this thing called the ‘Iron Bills’ challenge… Today was the Amazing Race, which is the absolute worst challenge you can ever do… today just absolutely kicked our ass.”
Allen explains on the show what the ‘race’ constitutes. “It’s three bikes, like the fan bikes. On one bike you got to burn 500 calories, on the second bike, you got to burn 400. And the last one’s a road bike, it’s a little bit different, and a little bit harder, that one’s 200 (calories),” he says. Sounds like a real nightmare, especially if one is not the kind who exercises a lot.
Allen and the Bills will need to prepare hard for this season
Last season was a very good one for the Bills. Even though they failed to reach the AFC Championship game, they were still a strong team to contend with. Though this time, the Bills Mafia will be hoping to go further in the payoffs. Possibly even meeting the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, and snatching the AFC title away from them.
The Bills are still considered a team that could potentially contend for the AFC Championship this season. Analysts are already predicting them to be a top 3 finisher in the conference, and it looks likely to happen. Though, the competition inside the conference has only gone up. Which could play spoilsport in the Bills’ plan to lift the Super Bowl. Will Buffalo have a reason to rejoice this season?
