Baker Mayfield and Sean McVay

Three and a half quarters of the Thursday Night Football game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Las Vegas Raiders were dull, but the final few minutes were super-exciting.

The first exciting thing about the game was Baker Mayfield. He and the Rams overcame a 16-3 deficit in the fourth quarter to win with a thrilling comeback. Given that Baker joined the team just 48 hours earlier, the win has to be called a massive one.

Late in the fourth quarter, with the Rams trailing 16-3, newly acquired quarterback Baker Mayfield guided his team on not one, but two touchdown drives, capping the last one with a 23-yard pass to Van Jefferson in the end zone to take the lead, 17-16.

Mayfield was claimed off waivers by the Rams on Tuesday, giving him exactly two days to prepare for this game. He had less than 48 hours to study the team’s playbook, so it was unbelievable that he could even start this game.

However, it didn’t end there. Those who were watching the game may have recognized the song playing in the background after Rams kicker Matt Gay made the extra point through the uprights as Amazon cut to a pause in the action.

Did The Producer Play “F*ck The Police” Track During Rams vs Raiders Clash?

Many viewers were drawn in by the song selection on Amazon’s TV coverage. In fact, you could occasionally hear the instrumental version of the well-known NWA song “F*ck The Police.”

The controversial hit by NWA, “F-CK Tha Police,” was the song they were playing before the break.

The song selection for a prime-time football game by the Amazon producers was shocking. Twitter shared this sentiment, and they responded as such:

Wow, one has to accept that the producer was really gutsy to play something as controversial as ‘f*ck the police’ during an NFL game. It will be interesting to see if this controversy blows up in the days to come.
