Local Pub in Birmingham Welcomes Tom Brady
Tom Brady grabbed the local paper headline with a storm as he visited ‘The Roost’, a local pub in Birmingham before his team’s season opener against Leeds United. One of the greatest quarterbacks in American history was casually seen mingling with the fans and the locals like just another local lad who came in for a drink.
Inside the pub, with a mix of excitement and amusement, a number of fans had their mobile cameras out just to get in a frame with the NFL legend. Safe to say, the American footballer was quite cool and composed around the noisy blue fans who just enjoyed their day to the fullest.

The charm of Tom Brady didn’t just stop at friendly exchanges. The New England Patriots legend went beyond and above when it came to buying drinks for everyone. As per BirminghamLive, Brady forked out £150 (approximately $191) just to make sure none of the glasses in the pub were empty.
Even the pub owner was left stunned, and why wouldn’t he? One would think that such a candid arrival of Brady at a local pub with the local people would have been organized at some level. Speaking about the same to BirminghamLive, owner Antoin McGroarty said,
“I had no idea they were coming, out of sheer coincidence I’d asked a photographer to come in for the day to take some shots. I was standing behind the bar and it was such a shock. I couldn’t believe it. He’s probably the biggest sports star in the world and to pop into our pub, in the middle of small heath, it was amazing”.

McGroarty further added,
“The two Toms [Brady and Wagner] were absolutely brilliant, they had selfies with absolutely everyone. They bought beer for everyone that was in there. They couldn’t have been nicer. They came here had a beer and a chat with everybody. It don’t come much bigger than Tom Brady”.
By the looks of it, Brady truly celebrated his BCFC ownership with the locals in the most meaningful way – by raising glasses and spirits.

Tom Brady has always been the fan-favorite, but to receive such a welcome in a totally different landscape in a totally different game, is what even the legendary QB wouldn’t have expected. A fan in the stand at St. Andrews stadium with a blue Brady jersey caught the attention of the NFL icon and Brady was seen fist-bumping with him and posing for selfies with others.
The young fans surely were starstruck by his presence. As Tom Brady continues to add more memorable chapters to his post-retirement life, it will be interesting to see where he takes his caravan next.
