Deion Sanders Has a Hearty Response To Lil Wayne Who Sees Coach Prime As a Father Figure

Lil Wayne is one of the celebrities who are a die-hard fan of Deion Sanders and his program. He is often seen on the sidelines in Boulder rooting for the Buffs and his special relationship with Coach Prime is very visible when the two meet up in public. The veteran rapper was once very honest about how much respect he has for Prime and Prime returned the love with a hearty response.

Wayne appeared on Undisputed alongside host Skip Bayless, after the much-hyped matchup between Colorado and Colorado State game. The 41-year-old rapper had a big role to play in that game and was hyping up the home crowd before the matchup. However, what stood out in that interview was his precious words for Deion Sanders whom he sees as a “father figure.”

Lil Wayne Sees Deion Sanders As a Father Figure

Lil Wayne poured his heart out on Deion Sanders when Skip Bayless asked about what Prime means to him. “I told you unc is a blessing to everyone he comes across and he can’t help that,” Lil Wayne said. “That’s something he can’t help, and that’s just who he is. For me who he is, in my world and in my life right now is no less than a father figure. I mean I call him on but he’s a father figure.”

“You don’t give someone that title unless you have a real personal, a personal relationship with that person,” he added. “That person has personally helped you. So that mean I don’t know anybody else but I know when I call them that. When I speak of these words, I speak of him I mean it.”

After hearing Lil Wayne’s warm words for him, Prime took to Instagram with a hearty response, “Love you 2 life [Lil Wayne] You’re the GOAT!” The two certainly share a very special relationship which was also visible during Colorado’s game against Colorado State, when Prime gifted the veteran rapper with a customized CU jersey.

Wayne’s Support For Coach Prime

Lil Wayne was heavily involved in the Buffaloes’ extra-curricular activities before the much-anticipated rivalry game in Folsom Field. Wayne not only performed for the home fans but also led the team out of the tunnel during the game. Furthermore, he is often seen rooting for Coach Prime along with other celebrities like The Rock and LeBron James.

It is no surprise that Deion Sanders has a mesmerizing personality and that many see him as a true mentor to young kids. However, his greatness is so contagious that he has gained a father figure persona among many others, including Lil Wayne.
