Skip Bayless and Damar Hamlin

Damar Hamlin collapsing raised a lot of comments, and Skip Bayless’ comment had Isaiah Thomas furious. The Bills and Bengals were set to play an all important game that could decide the fate of the number one seed in the AFC.

However, shortly into the game Bills safety Damar Hamlin was hit, and then collapsed on field. Medical assistants had to administer CPR for several minutes before they eventually had to rush him away to the hospital.

The NFL quickly decided that the game wasn’t going to continue, and it’s been suspended for now. Hamlin has been sedated, and he is in critical condition. Prayers are being sent from all over for Hamlin, and everyone hopes that he recovers well and finds himself in stable condition.

Isaiah Thomas destroys Skip Bayless for insensitive comment against Damar Hamlin

After the incident, comments and reactions were flying in from all over Twitter. NFL analysts were looking at the game and practically pleading for the NFL to stop the game instantly. Skip Bayless also Tweeted in the middle of everything, but unfortunately, his Tweet came across as tasteless.

Everyone in Skip’s comment section slammed him for even thinking of continuing the game, despite its importance. Isaiah Thomas, former NBA star, came out and destroyed Skip for his comment too, claiming that he should be fired for such an insensitive comment.

Given the circumstances, Thomas’ outrage isn’t unwarranted. After all, after such an incident, all anyone can think about is Hamlin’s safety and health. The NFL will find a way to sort out the missed game, that’s not important at the time. No player would want to continue the game after seeing a player collapse like that.

Community and support is important right now, and Skip didn’t show that attitude at all. There is an argument that Skip’s tweet meant something else, perhaps that it seemed like he was saying that the outcome of the game felt so small now, but the way he said was not at all in that vicinity.

For now though, all we can hope is that Hamlin is able to recover well.
