Jalen Hurts names his favorite Cheesesteaks spot during the Super Bowl press conference

Jalen Hurts often turns out to be a wingman for his people in Philadelphia, blessing them by making unexpected appearances. He did a similar gesture for a small food business venture in the city by introducing his Jalen Special cheesesteaks. It became an instant hit, and people started flocking to the restaurant to try out this infamous cuisine. Back in the day, while speaking to the media reporters at the Super Bowl LVII press conference, Hurts was asked to comment on the best cheesesteak in the city, and without a second thought, he uttered a five word message, “it’s called the Jalen special,” before mentioning that one can find it at his favorite FoodChasers kitchen.

Even though the signal-caller expresses his compassion for fast food, he is very particular about his diet plan. He is one of the fittest athletes who follows a strict regime to remain at the top of his game.

The Food chasers kitchen is operated by a set of twin sisters, Maya and Kala Johnstone. They were school principals in Philadelphia, and after seeking retirement from their jobs, the duo followed their passion by opening a restaurant. Foodchasers specializes in steaks, along with a variety of other cuisines.

Last season, the 24-year-old decided to bless them with a proposal to shoot an advertisement. The signal-caller draped the apron and made the iconic Jalen Special. It has fried onions, copper sharp cheese, and mayo. This combination looked weird to many of them, but it tasted better than plenty of other options available in the restaurant.

This visit skyrocketed their business, and Philly fans started rushing to taste Jalen’s favorite cheesesteak. After the Eagles’ NFC championship wins, the quarterback and his entire family partied at the Foodchasers. Thereafter, he started making frequent visits, which increased their brand value. The Johnstone sisters also attended the Super Bowl game as die-hard Eagles fans cheering for their favorite quarterback.

“We went to the game so everybody is around us and, of course, is cheering because it’s the Eagles, Super Bowl,” Kala said in an interview, per CBS News. “We are cheering because he’s coming to the restaurant if he wins. So, every time they score, we are like screaming,” she added.

Jalen Hurts’ diet routine

Just like any other quarterback playing in the league, the youngster loves to keep his intake at fixed intervals. Jalen’s diet mainly includes green leafy vegetables and ample amounts of water. With high protein and lots of water, Hurts maintains his calorie intake and overall body weight.

“I’m the same weight, about 220. Consistently 220 throughout my days. I just basically feel cleaner in terms of drinking water and laying off the sugary drinks.” he had said in an interview, per Stylecaster. With a near miss in the Super Bowl this season, do you think he can make a comeback this season?
