Jenny Taft and Skip Bayless recently got into a heated exchange over Bayless’ comments over fat-shaming Mike McCarthy, Dallas Cowboys head coach.

‘The Undisputed’ is run by primarily by Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe who engage in debates and conversations about various sports around the US, primarily about the NFL and NBA.

Skip and Shannon both provide their ‘hot takes’ to get their audience to click on and watch their episodes. Sometimes, their takes are so outrageously bad that you’ll have yourself questioning how both them are still employed.

One of those takes happened recently when Skip Bayless spoke up about Mike McCarthy being a bad coach. While that part isn’t too bad, the justification Skip gave was extremely outrageous.

Yeah, that’s a bad take Skip. It’s not even one of your excusable ‘hot takes’, that we know you’re doing to gain viewers, it’s genuinely disrespectful. Jenny Taft, Skip’s co-analyst, made sure to call him out on it.

Jenny Taft Calls Out Skip Bayless For Fat Shaming Mike McCarthy

So, what exactly did Skip say about the Dallas Cowboys head coach? He basically called out McCarthy on his weight, saying:

“This is just personal preference on my part. I’m not taking a shot at him about this, but he’s a little heavy. And I wouldn’t want my head coach in the National Football League to not look the part at all because you got to stay in some semblance of condition to show you know who you are and have some confidence in yourself, right? He was just unimpressive across the board. I’m giving him no checkmarks.”

Yep, that sounds as bad as it looks. There’s no clear way of guessing as to what exactly Skip was trying to achieve by calling attention to McCarthy’s point, but it clearly didn’t bode well with Jenny Taft (or anyone really).

Here was her response:

Jenny made sure that Skip knew his take was complete bogus saying:

“I’ve actually had plenty of coaches that didn’t have the perfect physique, including my college coach, so I don’t think that’s a fair shot.”

When Skip responded by saying it was just his personal preference, Jenny made sure to get in one final sentence, summarizing her anger:

“I’m allowed to have an opinion, Skip. I’m allowed to say whatever I want to say on this show, as you do too.”

Jenny Taft is definitely in the right here. Skip is more than allowed to call out Mike McCarthy for being a bad coach if he has valid justification for it. That does not include saying something about his body.
